A Greek Tragedy

Like the previous post, Inbetweeners, this is a title that has already been covered on our weekly email newsletter, but it is so good we thought it worth putting up here…

The wonderfully titled My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done is due from Scanbox on September 27 (or the Friday a couple of weeks before for a limited theatrical release) and comes from the dream team pairing of notorious director Werner Herzog and executive producer David Lynch. Starring Michael Shannon as the actor who commits the real life crime he is due to play out in a Greek tragedy, it also features the likes of Brad Dourif, Willem Dafoe, Udo Kier and Chloe Sevigny.

Many of those cast members will be supporting the release by giving interviews with the press. The release marks an impressive ongoing relationship between indie Scanbox, now under High Fliers’ wing, and Lynch’s own production outfit, following on from the likes of Eraserhead.
