With its week one now firmly under its belt, Universal is planning to keep the latest Jurassic era going right through until Christmas. And here’s what it’s done so far and some of the plans for the next few weeks, as well as looking at some of the in-store implementation of its own take on Jurassic World and its mososaurus stunt as we break down Jurassic World in numbers…

606 – the number of screens Jurassic World commandeered for its theatrical launch in the UK, making it the widest ever theatrical release in this country…

18 – the number of weeks Jurassic World played at cinemas in the UK

Two – the placing that Jurassic World sits in Universal’s all-time highest grossing films list in the UK

64.2 million – the amount in pounds that Jurassic World took at cinemas in the UK

1.6 billion – the worldwide haul, in dollars, for Jurassic World around the world

Two – the number of weeks before release the digital and social campaign kicked off

31 – the number of days in October, which will see a huge TV campaign from promotional partners Dr Oekter and Chicago Town Pizza

19 – the day in October when Jurassic World was officially released

Seven – the size, in metres, of the giant mosasaurus on London’s Southbank installed as a PR stunt by Universal for the launch

Three – the number of times the the mosasaurus stunt was featured on Good Morning Britain in the hour from 7.30am onwards as part of the breakfast ITV programme’s weather bulletins, It also featured on MTV news, in the Evening Standard and websites such as the Mail Online, Digital Spy and Yahoo

Three – the number of shopping centres visited by the raptors from the film as part of a tour, with fans at malls in Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle given the chance to have their picture taken with the models recreating the iconic Chris Pratt scene in the film as he tames them…

Two – the number of weeks Universal will have its full Jurassic set-up in stores, complete with gates, dinosaur standees, pallet with soundchips and more…

82 – the number of Tesco stores where Universal will have a full Jurassic takeover of the home entertainment aisles for between two and four weeks…

473,000 – the week one sales of Jurassic World in its single SKUs…

33 – the percentage split of Blu-ray sales from those single SKUs

22,000 – the total week one sales of the complete Jurassic box set

45 – the percentage split of those sales towards Blu-ray…
