Joining The Monster Club
This is a smart little piece of social media-based promotion from Universal, put together to help promote the recent release of its hugely impressive Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection on Blu-ray.
It’s a spot the monsters-style graphic drawn up by the studio and, as well as appearing here on our website, it’s been pushed by Universal and its agencies across the Internet and hosted on its Facebook page.
What’s more, the picture, which features no less than 20 of its different classic films, is being used for a competition, offering giveaway prizes, including a copy of the Blu-ray set, a signed picture of Tippi Hedren and, better still, a trip to Universal’s theme park on Hollywood.
As Universal’s Gavin Hutt said: “It’s a bit of visual fun for all those horror aficionados out there to celebrate the release of Universal Monsters: The Essential Collection on Blu-ray.”
