The Perfect Package
Print and packaging specialist AGI was celebrating this week after picking up a couple of prestigious gongs at the PrintWeek awards.
It won the Packaging Printer Of The Year for the second year running, after impressing the judges with samples of its work over the previous 12 months. One entry, an O ring for Disney’s Tron using “micromotion”, was singled out for particular attention, with one judge saying that it was a “standout piece”, another adding that it was “stunning”. Also mentioned was the lenticular for Momentum’s Limitless, which gives us another opportunity to post the GIF below up here again (we need little excuse after discovering how great they look on here).
It also picked up the Post-Press company of the year again, for its work on finishing for releases. One title singled out was Family Guy (Fox), with mention of its “clever use of embossing to achieve different depths”.
AGI Europe’s ceo Tony Garnish said: “We are very proud to have been acknowledged by the industry again. We are committed to serving our customers with the most innovative print & packaging solutions and these two awards are a testament to our efforts to remain in the forefront of the industry.”
