Driving Christmas Traffic
Here’s some of the new creatives for HMV’s Yuletide campaign, entitled Christmas Lights, which kicks off officially on November 7.
The campaign will be heavily flagged in stores, online, digital and social media and in all above the line elements, taking in TV, radio, press and outdoor activity. It will take inDVD and Blu-ray product alongside other elements of the retailer’s offering, music, games and technology. Film product included in the Christmas Lights campaign will include Cars (pictured left), Transformers and Kung Fu Panda.
It was put together by HMV’s brand agency venturethree, with other agencies Libertine, QD and Linney and by its media buying agency, OMD all involved in the seven figure campaign.
As HMV’s head of brand creative Mark Robertson said: “With our brand heritage and specialist credentials we always like to do something special for Christmas – partly by way of engaging with our customers and the wider gift-buying public on a more emotional level and really tapping into the powerful sentiment that so many of us feel for Christmas, but also so that our great offers and recommendations really cut through and stand out on the high street as well as online.”
